ServiceNow Business Analyst

About the job

The Business Analyst will be part of a growing team doing ServiceNow implementations and application development for a Federal Agency customer in the DC Metropolitan area. Contract provides enterprise support and requires working extensively with multiple stakeholders in support of growing customer requirements.


  • Gather and analyze requirements through workflow analysis and customer feedback
  • Translate business requirements into functional designs and workflows
  • Steer/manage stakeholder interactions and meetings
  • Evaluate feasibility with stakeholders
  • Manage the development of the ServiceNow workflow automation on an aggressive timeline
  • Serving as a direct liaison between the development team and the stakeholders.
  • Draft agile stories, discuss and finalize the stories with developers

Required Skills/Certifications

  • Experience as a business analyst
  • Experience in the IT industry
  • Knowledge of business processes, IT automation workflows and process mapping
  • Experience with SDLC methodologies, including Agile
  • Working familiarity with ServiceNow
  • Willingness to undertake ServiceNow certification training
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Experience eliciting, capturing, and documenting requirements, processes, and workflows
  • Experience de-conflicting opposing requirements
  • Good interpersonal skills


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in Excel/spreadsheets, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
