MYAssets Validation — What's New in This Release
A new version of MyAssets Validation is now published on the ServiceNow Store. This latest release introduces several important enhancements designed to strengthen audit capabilities, improve administration, and enhance reporting.
Three Key Enhancements
This release focuses on auditability, administrative flexibility, and analytics — three pillars that make MyAssets more powerful and easier to operate at scale.
This release introduces the core foundation for location auditing, including new data, validation logic, and reporting capabilities. Think of this as the "engine" that powers location auditing — providing the system of record, the validation logic, and the reporting layer needed for structured audits.
Key additions include new tables to support the audit lifecycle:
- Asset Audit
- Asset Audit Item
- Audit Completion Result
Important note: Location Auditing in MyAssets Validation provides the engine only. Scanning and field execution are performed in the Asset Management Mobile app, where audits are completed in the field.
Administrators can now enable or disable debug logging across the application without making code changes. This makes it easier to troubleshoot when needed while keeping production logs clean during normal operations.
Toggle debug logging on or off via a simple admin control — no scripting required. Ideal for production environments where clean logs matter.
The MyAssets Dashboard has been migrated to Platform Analytics. The existing structure and widgets are preserved, but the shift improves the overall analytics experience and keeps reporting aligned with the modern ServiceNow analytics direction.
Same widgets, same layout — but now powered by Platform Analytics for a richer, more future-proof reporting experience consistent with ServiceNow's analytics roadmap.
